In 2000 Kumi started to make intaglio prints. Since then she has included birds in more than twenty of her prints. Twenty-one examples are shown below. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Kumi draws objects in an amateurish, childlike way and combines them in puzzling picture compositions. This creative style of art has been adopted by artists worldwide as an alternative to true-to-life drawing.
